Subject: Big surprise
I never knew that this was a puppet show before it became a cartoon. The animated version was very popular when I was a kid.

I used to watch this when I was 5 years old. Eventually, the program became known as "Beanie & Cecil" to acknowledge the Beanie character's sidekick, who provided the comedy release on the program.
